Goa Carnival is the eagerly awaited festival of Goa which is usually held for 3 to 4 days. This time it falls on 8th February 2014 and will continue till 13th February 2014.At the outset 'the king of chaos' or 'King Momo' is chosen and he leads the parade featuring dance troupes and beautiful floats. The Goa carnival parade is an awesome spectacle encompassing a mind-boggling array of activities. Masked revellers dancing to live band music and ornately decorated floats are the highlights of this fascinating jamboree. The carnival culminates with the famous Red-and-Black dance held by the Club National in Panaji. Over the years, the Goa carnival has come to embody the very best of the unique Goa culture. On the eve of the carnival tourists from all over the world descend on Goa for a sip of the rich heritage of Goa. Goa is also flooded with numerous historical monuments and eye catching sights. For the historically inclined Goa is just ethereal. There are several Churches in Goa which testify the rich historical past of the city. Some of the popular Churches in Goa are; Mary Immaculate Conception, Reis Magos Church, St. Anne Church, Church of St. Augustine, St. Paul Church etc. Goa is also home to numerous forts and museums that offer glimpses of a culturally rich state.

1st Mar 2014 : Dudhsagar Waterfalls & Mollen National park

After breakfast visit to Dudhsagar Water Falls. The name of this waterfall evolves from the Konkani name for the falls, Dudhsagar meaning 'sea of milk'. This is because froth is formed due to the speedy surge of water from the majestic heights. In spite of being a perilous spot due to its slippery rocks, it is a popular site for trekking and hiking. The fall looks stunning post monsoon as it ripples with bubbling foam-like water. The fall overlooks a steep, crescent-shaped edge of a valley covered with beautiful tropical forest. Monkeys, birds, bees, butterflies have carved their own niche a midst the flora of the region and the plunge pool abounds in aquatic life.

2nd Mar 2014: Carnival Parade

After breakfast visit to Panaji to enjoy the Carnival Parade. Roads would be filled with colorful people all around.

3rd Mar 2014: Spice Plantations

After breakfast visit to local but famous spice plantations in Goa. Tropical spice plantation is located in Keri(Ponda), a village untouched by pollution, 6 km off Ponda. Tropical spice Plantation can also be reached from Panjim via Mardol. Tropical Spice Plantation is spread over large tract of verdant land, which offers the perfect setting for you to soak in a pure unadulterated nature.

4th Mar 2014: Historical Churches

After breakfast, Visit to all the historical Churches.
  • Se Cathedral
This largest church in India, dedicated to Catherine of Alexandria, took 57 years to complete and today it is considered to be a magnificent work of Portuguese Manueline architecture.
  • Basilica Of  Bom Jesus
This is yet another stunner in terms of spiritual Goa tourism. People of all faith, especially Christians come to this basilica, every ten years to honour St. Francis Xavier.
  • Convent & Church of St. Francis of Assisi
This structure stands adjacent to the Se Cathedral and is one of the famous monuments of Old Goa.
  • Church of Our Lady of Miracles
For a unique experience of the harmony between different religions, head to this beautiful church. The Church of Our Lady of Miracles was originally built in 1594 by the Portuguese army
  • Church of St Cajetan
Church of St Cajetan promises you a visual treat as well as a soul stirring experience. Also known as Church of Our Lady of Divine Providence, its origin dates back to 1640 when its construction got started in Corinthian style.
